Course Overview

Led by Prof. Enrico Agliardi — Chief of the Department of Special Rehabilitation Surgery at the San Raffaele Dental Clinic and a world-renowned specialist in zygomatic implantology — this hybrid course combines recorded video lectures, cadaver lab dissection footage, and live review sessions with the author. Rather than teaching a single technique, it works through the full range of tilted implant protocols used to treat severely atrophic edentulous patients without resorting to sinus floor augmentation.

The curriculum is organized into four modules, each pairing a theoretical lecture with anatomical cadaver preparation footage and a live clinical review session. It opens with All-on-4® and V-II-V maxillary protocols for terminal dentition and severe atrophy cases, then moves into the specific placement protocols for tilted, trans-sinusal, and pterygoid implants — covering entry points, trajectory, and the anatomical landmarks that keep each technique safe. Mandibular All-on-4® protocol is covered separately, with particular attention to avoiding mental nerve injury during osteotomy. The course then advances into more complex techniques, including transcrestal and transinusal approaches and zygomatic implant placement (ZAGA classification), before closing with prosthetic rehabilitation — pre-surgical planning, provisional and definitive prosthetics, and lab procedures.
